Helping turn Houses in Homes since 1920
"...the service I received from John was second to none..."
We're based in ROBERTSBRIDGE, East Sussex, which is about 15 miles south of Tunbridge Wells on the A21.
If you have a SatNav thingy, tap in our postcode - TN32 5NY - this may come up as either Northbridge Street or The Clappers. If you get lost,
ring us on the number at the top right-hand corner of every page on this site - 01580 880324 - and we'll try and set you straight.
The map above is interactive. Use the + and - magnifying glasses in the top left-hand corner of the map to ZOOM in and out; when you place the cursor over the map, it will change to a little hand - click and hold the left-hand mouse button1 and you can drag the viewable map around.
You can also switch from ROAD MAP view to an AERIAL PHOTOGRAPH view and zoom right in to see what we're up to... drinking tea, probably...
Take JUNCTION 5 of the M25, signposted SEVENOAKS and HASTINGS A21. This puts you onto the A21 which you follow south (following the signs for HASTINGS) for about 31 miles, minding the speed cameras on the way.
Robertsbridge is approached by a twisty section of road heading downhill that comes to a roundabout. Take the THIRD exit of that roundabout onto Northbridge Street (signposted Robertsbridge). You'll Find us on the left-hand
side of the road a few hundred yards from the roundabout, opposite the public car park and recreation ground.
We recommend getting directions from the AA's website - we've found them accurate in terms of both time and distance - you can find their Route Planner here.
There are services approximately every 30 minutes, from both Hastings and London. Robertsbridge Station is on the Hastings to London (Charing Cross) line and you get get details of the journey here. It's about a 10 minute walk from the station to the Forge, down
Station Road and left along the High Street. If you get lost in the village, ask anyone, they all know where we are!
Buses are a bit of a mystery to us, as generally, they don't like you taking Woodburners on them... however, you can have a look at the East Sussex Bus map here. As this is a link to an external site that may change from time to time, let us know if you can't find the map and we'll sort it.
Everywhere is "within walking distance" if you have the time....!
1Mac Users probably need to do the same thing, but I'm not sure as I haven't got one :(
